TPU Film Hardness

The hardness of TPU plastic film is usually measured with Shore A and Shore D durometers. Shore A is used for softer TPU film material and Shore D is used for harder TPU film material. The higher hardness value, the higher the puncture resistance and wear resistance of the TPU film. The lower hardness value, smooth layering and a very soft touch for TPU film.

The hardness is mainly determined by the hard segment content in the TPU Thermoplastic polyurethanes resin structure. When the hardness rises, TPU film tensile modulus and tear strength will increase, the rigidity and compressive stress (load capacity) will increase, the elongation will decrease, the density and dynamic heat generation will increase, and the environmental resistance performance will increase.

POLYSAN is a professional TPU plastic film supplier for different hardness ranging from 75A , 80A, 85A, 90A, 95A, super high transparency , foggy and colorful TPU film for option.
